The Commission has recently become aware of documentation regarding an entity, Celtic Investment Bank.

Within this documentation it is claimed that the above named entity has an address of “P. O. Box 114, Douglas IM99 1JW, Isle of Man”.

The Commission wishes to draw attention to the following observations:

The Commission can confirm categorically that the above entity has no presence at or connection with the aforementioned address and nor is it in any way connected or associated with the genuine occupant of that address, the genuine Celtic Finance Limited. The genuine entity Celtic Finance Limited, was formerly called Celtic Bank Limited. The genuine Celtic Bank Limited surrendered its banking licence at the end of March 2010, when it also changed its name.

No Celtic Investment Bank is or ever has been licensed by the Commission to undertake any regulated activity in or from the Isle of Man. A list of all institutions licensed by the Commission is available on our website at www.fsc.gov.im.

Celtic Investment Bank is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.

The Commission has established no association between Celtic Investment Bank and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between Celtic Investment Bank and the Isle of Man.

Telephone numbers used in the documentation seen by the Commission are not genuine Isle of Man telephone numbers.

Within documentation seen by the Commission Celtic Investment Bank is purportedly represented or promoted by a Johnson Mirch. The Commission have been unable to identify any person of that name in the Isle of Man or associated with any genuine Isle of Man company.

Under the circumstances the Commission feels that this documentation is being issued to either tempt the recipient into becoming the victim of an Advance Fee Fraud – see explanatory notice issued by the Commission at:

Under the circumstances the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with this entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.
