This notice is issued by the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 30 of the Financial Services Act 2008.

The Authority has recently become aware of a website www.besideassetmanagement.com purporting to represent the business Beside Asset Management and claiming to operate from the address, Britannia House, Athol Street, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM1 1JE as well as in other jurisdictions such as Malta, the UK, Dubai and Hong Kong.
The Authority wishes to draw attention to the following observations:
The Authority has failed to establish any association between the company Beside Asset Management and any genuine Isle of Man companies or businesses.
The genuine managers of the address Britannia House, Athol Street, Douglas have no knowledge of nor any connection to the entity Beside Asset Management Ltd. The Authority has failed to identify any entity by the name of Beside Asset Management carrying on any business activity in or from the Isle of Man.
There is no company incorporated in the Isle of Man by the name of Beside Asset Management nor is there any foreign company by the name of Beside Asset Management registered as having a place of business in the Isle of Man in terms of the Foreign Companies Act 2014

To offer the financial services listed on the website “besideassetmanagement.com” in or from the Isle of Man would require a licence issued by the Authority. There is no licenceholder in the Isle of Man named Beside Asset Management. A search of all entities licensed by the Authority can be found at:

Under the circumstances, the Authority is concerned that any person who has accessed the website “besideassetmanagement.com” may potentially become the victim of Fraud or it may be an attempt at gaining personal data from the recipient in order to steal their identity.

Any persons who are already involved in any dealings with the potentially fraudulent website “besideassetmanagement.com” should consider notifying their local Police.
