AML/CFT Country Lists update October 2025
The Authority wishes to draw your attention to amendments to the Country Lists following the October 2025 FATF Plenary. The Country Lists have been amended by the Cabinet Office and can be viewed on the Department of Home Affairs website.
In particular, the Authority would like to highlight that:
- As of 24 October 2025, Burkina Faso, Mozambique, Nigeria, South Africa have completed their Action Plans to resolve the identified strategic deficiencies within agreed timeframes and will no longer be subject to the FATF’s increased monitoring process. As a result, these have been removed from List B (i)
- As of 24 October 2025, there have been no additions to or removals from List B (ii)
- As of 24 October 2025, Curacao and South Africa have been added to List C
- As of 24 October 2025, Curacao and South Africa have been added to List D
Most regulated or supervised entities should already have carried out their own evaluation for any impact on their own risk assessments and customer procedures arising from the changes. Further details regarding List B and steps to be taken can be found in this previous news item issued by the Authority in December 2022.
