CHAI RMAN’ S STATEMENT
It is with great pleasure that I share the second annual report of
the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority.
As I reflect upon this past year we continue
to advance our pre-merger responsibilities
while at the same time taking on additional
responsibilities. Although the operating
environment continues to produce some
uncertainties this has not slowed the pace or
enthusiasm for change in the Authority. As I
mentioned in last year’s annual report,
stakeholder engagement and a renewed
approach to how we work with industry
would be one of the key focal points of the
Authority in the period of this report. I am
pleased with the reaction and reception of
industry to how we have approached this.
We have been characterised as being more
open and accessible and this has been an
important achievement for all of us who seek
to ensure that our financial services sector
remains relevant and vibrant.
