The Commission has recently become aware of a website using the above URL and purporting to
represent Standard Bank Offshore.

The genuine Standard Bank Offshore is a registered Business name on the Isle of Man for a group of
companies comprising:

Standard Bank Trust Company (Isle of Man) Limited
Standard Bank Stockbrokers (Isle of Man) Limited
Standard Bank Manx Holdings Limited
Standard Bank Services Limited

Standard Bank Offshore is not in itself licensed or regulated by the Commission, however, those
companies within the group undertaking licensable activities are. The licensed and regulated group
companies are:

Standard Bank Isle of Man Limited - Banking Licence and authorised to conduct Category 3
Investment Business
Standard Bank Stockbrokers (Isle of Man) Limited - Investment Business Licence (Category 5c)
Standard Bank Trust Company (Isle of Man) Limited - Corporate Service Provider Licence (Category
1)

The website using the above URL appears to have been copied, in parts, from the website of the
genuine Standard Bank Offshore. The Commission are satisfied that the website using the URL does
not represent and is in no way associated or endorsed by the genuine Standard Bank Offshore.

The website using the URL states the correct Isle of Man address for the genuine Standard Bank
Offshore, however, the telephone numbers and email addresses contained within it are bogus. The
telephone numbers quoted for the Isle of Man address on the website appear to relate to mobile
telephone numbers provided by a United Kingdom Telecommunications provider.

The genuine Standard Bank Group operates a number of websites. They publish useful information
on establishing whether a website is really operated by the Group. 

The Commission encourages anybody dealing with members of the Standard Bank Group online to

greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.

Any persons who have paid funds away to any entities purporting to operate from the website at
www.standardoffshorebank.com should consider reporting details to their local Police Fraud Unit at
the earliest possible opportunity.
