The Commission has recently become aware of the above website which includes references to and claims to represent the above entities.
The website infers that the above entities are based in or have links to the Isle of Man.
None of the above entities are companies incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. None are registered as foreign companies having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. None are registered as business names on the Isle of Man.
None of the above entities are licensed by the Financial Supervision Commission to undertake banking business or any other regulated activity.
A list of all institutions licensed by the Commission is available.
The website claims that the above entities have an address of “Halifax Intl. House, The Promenade, Port St. Mary, Isle of Man IM9 5DE, UK” There is no such address.
The Commission has established no association between these entities and any genuine Isle of Man companies.
The Commission has established no genuine links between these entities and the Isle of Man.
Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with the above entities to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.

For the avoidance of doubt, there is a genuine regulated licence holder of the Commission called Halifax PLC. The Commission is able to state categorically that the subjects of this Public Notice are not in any way associated with or connected to the genuine Halifax PLC. The website of the genuine Halifax PLC. Until 11 January 2003 there was a genuine regulated licence holder of the Commission called Halifax International Limited. On that date the business of the genuine Halifax International Limited on the Island was merged with that of another genuine regulated licence holder of the Commission called Bank of Scotland Offshore Limited. The merged businesses were licensed by the Commission to undertake banking business with effect from the date of the merger, and continue to be so licensed, under the name Bank of Scotland International Limited. The Commission is able to state categorically that the subjects of this Public Notice are not in any way associated or connected with the genuine Bank of Scotland International Limited or its predecessors.
