http://www.iomfsa.im/ViewNews.gov?page=lib/news/iomfsa/equitysecurityan.xml
Since issuing the aforementioned Public Warning, the Commission has become aware of the above website which has been claimed to represent Equity Security and Finance Company. The website itself appears to make no direct reference to Equity Security and Finance Company but does make reference to the other entities listed above.
The website claims that the above entities have an address of BVM Building, Prospect Hill, Douglas, Isle of Man. The Commission has been unable to identify any such address on the Isle of Man.
The Commission has also been made aware of emails purporting to originate from Northlink Finance and Security Group. Within the emails Northlink Finance and Security Group also claims to have a presence at the aforementioned non existent Isle of Man address.
The website claims that the above "ESFC" entities have a telephone number of +(44) 8701305762 This is not an Isle of Man number.
None of above mentioned entities are companies incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. They are not registered as foreign companies having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. They are not registered as business names on the Isle of Man.
The website claims that “ESFC” “is licensed by the Isle of Man Financial Supervision Commission to conduct consultation services”. This claim is untrue.
None of the above entities are licensed by the Commission to undertake any regulated activities in, on or from the Isle of Man. We are unaware of what license would be required on the Isle of Man to “conduct consultation services” as we are unsure as to precisely what activity such purported services could relate to.
A list of all genuine institutions licensed by the Commission is available on our website at www.fsc.gov.im
The Commission has established no association between the above entities and any genuine Isle of Man companies.
The Commission has established no genuine links between the above entities and the Isle of Man.
Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with any of the above entities to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.
Any persons who are already involved in any dealings with any of the above entities and have concerns should contact the Enforcement Division on +44 1624 689313 or by email to fsc@gov.im.
