This notice is issued by the Financial Supervision Commission (“the Commission”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 22 of the Financial Supervision Act 1988.

 

The above website which purportedly claimed to represent the above entity has been the subject of an enquiry made to the Commission.

The website purportedly contained a statement alleging that the above entity has had a presence in, or some association with the Isle of Man for a period of 40 years.

At the date of receiving the enquiry the Commission found that the above website was not accessible and the Commission has been unable to see for itself the alleged claims being made on it. The Commission is, however, able to make the following statements regarding Oxford Finance & Security Services.

Oxford Finance & Security Services is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.

Oxford Finance & Security Services is not licensed by the Financial Supervision Commission to undertake banking business or any other regulated activity in, on or from the Isle of Man.

The Commission has been unable to establish any association between Oxford Finance & Security Services and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has been unable to establish any genuine links between Oxford Finance & Security Services and the Isle of Man.

Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with the above entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.

Any persons who have paid funds to the above entity and who have read the alleged statements by it falsely claiming a presence in or connection with the Isle of Man, may wish to consider contacting their local Police Fraud Unit without delay.
