This notice is issued by the Financial Supervision Commission (“the Commission”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 22 of the Financial Supervision Act 1988.

IDS International Diplomatic Security

On 3rd September 2003 the Commission issued a public notice in relation to the above entity which was, at that time, falsely claiming a presence on the Isle of Man. That public notice may be read on the following link: http://www.iomfsa.im/ViewNews.gov?page=lib/news/iomfsa/idsinternational.xml

Yesterday (8th November 2006) the Commission became aware of a document very recently received by a member of the public purporting to originate from the above entity, which again, as in 2003, claims to have an address of 62, Garric House, Circular Road, Douglas, Isles of Man (sic).

The document purports to be a “Certificate of Deposit” in relation to “One Trunk Box” allegedly deposited with the above entity by an individual in Nigeria in August 2003. Correspondence accompanying the aforementioned document claims that the “One Trunk Box” contains a sum of $13.4 million US in cash. The correspondence seeks the assistance of the recipient in gaining access to the “One Trunk Box”, in relation to which the recipient will need to pay some “minor administrative charges”. According to the correspondence the recipient will be offered 20% of the purported contents of the “One Trunk Box” in return for their assistance.

The Commission has carried out fresh research into the statements made within our public notice of 3rd September 2003 and has found that those statements remain accurate.

The Commission therefore wishes to repeat its earlier statements with regard to the above entity.

The claimed address of the above entity, 62, Garric House, Circular Road, Douglas, Isle(s) of Man is not a valid address. There is no property on Circular Road, Douglas, Isle of Man that has the title of Garric House.

The above entity is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.

The Commission has established no association between the above entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between the above entity and the Isle of Man.

Under the circumstances, the Commission would strongly urge persons considering dealing with the above entity to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.

Any persons who are already involved in any dealings with the above entity and have concerns should contact the Enforcement Division on +44 1624 689313 or by email to fsc@gov.im.

Any persons who have paid funds to the above entity in relation to, for instance, purported administration charges, should consider contacting their local Police Fraud Unit without delay.
