The Financial Supervision Commission has become aware of the above website which purports to represent the entity, Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank.

This entity claims, within the website, to have “…a strong international network of offices in 9 countries around the world….”, and states that one of these offices is in the Isle of Man. The Commission has also received information indicating this entity claims to have an address at Clinch’s House, Lord Street, P.O. Box 227, IM99 1RZ, Douglas, Isle of Man.

There was an entity registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man called Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank Plc, from 10 September 2003 to 17 April 2007. This entity was licensed by the Financial Supervision Commission until it surrendered its licence on 30 March 2007, when it merged with Alliance & Leicester Plc.
