Update – 21 December 2010 - Diana Financial Loan

The Commission has recently become aware of correspondence which is purported to have been sent by John Murray and Shane William of a purported company called Mary Patrick Financial Loan Firm of A193, Wood Street, London E17 3NU offering individuals loan arrangements.

Further correspondence indicates that any arranged loan with this entity would purportedly be paid by Irish Nationwide (IOM) giving their contact telephone number as +44 (0)792 407 8088 with the e-mail address of irish.nationwide@unitytrustbank-ourprofile.com.

The Commission wishes to draw attention to the following observations:

Irish Nationwide (I.O.M.) Limited is a genuine entity on the Isle of Man licensed by the Commission.

The Commission has established no association between Mary Patrick Financial Loan Firm and Irish Nationwide (I.O.M.) Limited or any other genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between Mary Patrick Financial Loan Firm and the Isle of Man.

The quoted telephone numbers / email address are not linked in any way to Irish Nationwide (I.O.M.) Limited. Under the circumstances the Commission would encourage people receiving correspondence matching the above description to refrain from responding to it in any way.

Any persons who are already involved in any dealings resulting from the above correspondence and have concerns should contact the Enforcement Division on +44 1624 689311 or by email to fsc@gov.im.

Any persons who have paid out funds in relation to the above correspondence or who have provided personal financial details in relation to the above correspondence should consider contacting their local police fraud unit without delay.

The Commission are aware that individuals continue to receive correspondence from the entity holding themselves out to be Irish Nationwide (IOM) and being linked to a company called Diana Financial Loan.

Emails received purport to originate from a Mr Martins Arnold, Chief Accountant / Account Director of Irish Nationwide (IOM) and David Ward, Regional Manager of Diana Financial Loan.

Individuals are supplied with an account number, password and a link to the web address http://inomintelegencesev.biz.nf/secured/acclogin.html to access account details.

The Commission has established no association between Diana Financial Loan and the genuine Irish Nationwide (I.O.M.) Limited or any other Isle of Man companies.

The Commission would reiterate that under the circumstances, we would strongly urge persons considering dealing with these entities to exercise the greatest possible caution before proceeding, bearing in mind the contents of this public notice.

Any persons who have paid funds to the above entities should contact their local Police Fraud Unit without delay.
