The Commission has recently become aware of documentation which purportedly comes from an entity, Ocean Oil and Gas Limited.

The documentation is in regard to the shipment of sugar and also refers to a commodity price significantly lower than the current market price.

Within the documentation and also on the above website, which purports to represent this entity, an address given for the above entity of “204-207 Wardour Street, Isle of Man, W1F 8ZD, United Kingdom”. The Commission can confirm that this address does not exist here in the Isle of Man.

The Commission wishes to draw attention to the following observations:

The above entity is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business on the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a business name on the Isle of Man.

The Commission has established no association between the above entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between the above entity and the Isle of Man.

Under the circumstances the Commission would encourage people receiving documentation matching the above description to refrain from responding to it in any way.
