This notice is issued by the Financial Supervision Commission (“the Commission”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 30 of the Financial Services Act 2008.

The Commission has recently become aware of the above website which claims to represent Arthur Goldwell (Isle of Man) Limited. The apparently bogus site offers various offshore banking services and it claims to be regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

The contact phone number quoted in the site as +44 1668 320005 is not one issued by an Isle of Man provider.

We can confirm that the above entity is not licensed or authorised by the Financial Supervision Commission to undertake regulated activities. A list of all institutions licensed by the Commission is available on our website at www.fsc.gov.im

The Commission wishes to draw attention to the following observations:

Arthur Goldwell (Isle of Man) Limited is not a company incorporated within the jurisdiction of the Isle of Man. It is not registered as a foreign company having established a place of business in the Isle of Man. It is not a registered as business name in the Isle of Man.

The Commission has established no association between the above entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies.

The Commission has established no genuine links between the above entity and the Isle of Man.

Arthur Goldwell (Isle of Man) Limited does not appear on the Financial Services Authority register as being an authorised entity in the United Kingdom. A check of the FSA’s register can be carried out at www.fsa.gov.uk/register/home.do

Under the circumstances the Financial Supervision Commission feels that this website is being used to tempt the recipient into becoming the victim of an Advance Fee Fraud.

Is an attempt at gaining personal data from the recipient in order to steal their identity.
