UK Secured Finance Fund plc
On 22 July 2015 His Honour the Deemster Doyle sitting in the High Court of Justice of the Isle of Man heard an application from the Financial Supervision Commission (“the Commission”) seeking an order that UK Secured Finance Fund plc (“the Fund”) be wound up and that the Joint Liquidators provisionally and joint deemed Official Receivers who were appointed by His Honour the Deemster Doyle on 10 and 11 June be confirmed Joint Provisional Liquidators and joint deemed Official Receivers pending meetings of creditors and contributories.
His Honour the Deemster Doyle granted the application to wind up and by Order appointed Sarah Sanders and Alex Adam, both of Deloitte LLP, Joint Provisional Liquidators and joint deemed Official Receivers of the Fund of UK Secured Finance Fund plc and ordered that meetings of creditors and contributories be held within 8 weeks.
The Fund is a Qualifying Fund under the Qualifying Funds Regulations 2010. The appointment of Joint Provisional Liquidators and joint deemed Official Receivers follows the Commission’s appointment of Sarah Sanders and Alex Adam as Joint Controllers of the Fund under section 13(1) of the Collective Investment Schemes Act 2008 (“the Act”) and as Joint Liquidators provisionally and joint deemed Official Receivers. The Commission issued press releases on these appointments on 31 March 2015 and 11 June 2015.
