This notice is issued by the Financial Services Authority (“the Authority”) in accordance with the powers conferred upon it under Section 30 of the Financial Services Act 2008.
MJ Fiduciary and Management Services
The Authority has recently become aware that Isle of Man residents have received emails purporting to be from a Martin Jones as Chief Financial Officer of an entity called MJ Fiduciary and Management Services.
The email claims that MJ Fiduciary and Management Services are, “… a leading investment and wealth management company here in the Isle of Man, United Kingdom.”
The Authority is also aware of internet links to a website www.mjfiduciary-iom.com which indicates inter alia that it is located in the Isle of Man Business Park, Cooil Road, Douglas, Isle of Man, IM2 2QY
The Authority wishes to draw attention to the following observations:
There is no company incorporated in the Isle of Man by the name of MJ Fiduciary and Management Services
The Authority has established no association between the above entity and any genuine Isle of Man companies or businesses.
The Authority has established no genuine links between the above entity and the Isle of Man.
A search of all genuine companies incorporated in the Isle of Man can be conducted at http://www.gov.im/ded/pvi/pvi_fr.html?menuid=21707
To offer investment advice and wealth management services as described in documentation distributed by MJ Fiduciary and Management Services would require a licence issued by the Authority. A search of all entities licensed by the Authority can be found at https://www.iomfsa.im/register-search/
