Webinar to highlight PEP review findings

The Isle of Man Financial Services Authority is hosting a live webinar on Wednesday 17 May 2023 to discuss the findings of its thematic review of foreign Politically Exposed Persons (PEPs).

The Authority’s Anti-Money Laundering and Countering the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Supervision Division gathered key data from 91 firms and completed 29 inspections between 2021 and 2023 as part of the project.

In addition to issuing individual inspection reports on each of the inspected firms, the Authority has published its overarching PEP report on the AML/CFT section of the website.

The findings highlight areas of good practice, as well as contraventions of the AML/CFT Code that may pose a threat to the Authority’s objective of reducing financial crime.

The webinar, which will be live-streamed starting at 10am, will offer further insight into the findings and provide participants with an opportunity to pose questions to members of the AML/CFT team. Questions can be emailed to aml@iomfsa.im – either before, during or after the event.

A recording of the webinar will available on the Authority’s website, along with a summary of responses to the questions submitted.
