Authority raises funds for Family Library

Staff at the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority continue to raise thousands of pounds each year for local charities.

The Authority’s nominated Charity of the Year for 2023 was the Family Library, which offers a wide range of activities including family, school, home delivery and bibliotherapy services, as well as the mobile library.

The organisation, based on Westmoreland Road in Douglas, reaches all ages and sections of the community, supporting social inclusion, independence and learning in a fun way.

A cheque for £3,015 was recently presented to Library Manager Sue Jolly and Assistant Librarians Michelle McBride and Kerry-Ann Mitchell by CEO Bettina Roth and members of the Authority’s Charity & Social Committee.

The money was raised by colleagues taking part in a number of activities throughout the year including dress down days, bake sales, a bottle raffle, and the Santa Dash.

The Authority’s staff provided further support by setting up a Christmas wish list to purchase new books, art and craft supplies, and games for the Family Library.
