Scam letter using Authority information

This statement is to warn members of the public against dealing with unauthorised financial service providers.

 

The Authority have become aware of what is a fraudulent letter intending to illicit funds from innocent individuals.

 

The letter, a redacted copy of which is duplicated below is an amateurish attempt at using Authority logos and claims that the offered financial arrangements are in some way authorised or overseen by the Authority.  The claims are false and the Authority would never make the declarations exampled within the document.

 

The genuine Isle of Man company mentioned within the letter has not consented to their details being used and have no connection whatsoever to the author of the document.

 

Any persons who are already involved in any dealings with the individuals distributing the aforementioned correspondence should consider notifying their local Police, bringing to their attention the contents of this notice.
